In educational institutions such as universities and schools, light supports learning. Uniform room lighting is elementary, because only those who feel comfortable have the ability to study effectively. It should be noted that most classrooms have a similar architecture: there is a window front on one side of the room, which is why it is much brighter on this side of the room than on the side without windows. This implies that the wall side needs artificial light earlier than the window side.

PD4-M-DUO:

This occupancy detector can control two separate lighting groups depending on the natural daylight. The PD4-M-DUO has two independent light sensors that measure brightness at two different points in the room, e.g., on the wall side and on the window side of the classroom. In the DALI detector version, the PD4-M-DUO adds more or less artificial light, depending on the amount of daylight.

PD4-M-TRIO:

The PD4-M-TRIO is a 3-channel occupancy detector. In the DIM detector version, it has two dimmable and one switchable channel. If the two light bands of a classroom are controlled via the dimmable channels, it is possible for the window side of the room to receive less artificial light than the side without windows. The blackboard lighting can be switched via the switching channel. Alternatively, an HVAC system can be connected, for example, so that the room temperature is also controlled depending on presence.

PD4-M-DAA4G:

Up to 4 DALI lighting groups can be controlled with the PD4-M-DAA4G. Groups 1 to 3 are used for lighting control depending on the brightness in the room. The 4th group can be used for permanent lighting (e.g., of the blackboard). The additionally included relay channel is a potential-free NO contact that can be used, for example, to switch another constant light or an HVAC system depending on presence. This detector is particularly suitable for chemistry or physics rooms where, in addition to the blackboard, an experiment table can also be illuminated.
