Radio transmission and relay included

The PD2N-RF-KNXs-DX-FP the first KNX sensor with radio transmission (KNX-RF; Radio Frequency) and relay included. The sensor can be used to precisely control lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and extensive comfort settings and the KNX sensor technology is finally making its way effortlessly into renovation and modernisation projects: Existing conventional occupancy detectors can easily be replaced by a detector with KNX communication or a detector can be installed where there is no KNX bus. There is no need for KNX bus lines to the occupancy detector; the usual "3 wires" are sufficient for the power supply and lighting control. The fast and reliable KNX transmission of the recorded signals is via the 868.3 MHz medium frequency with good penetration of materials and building materials.  And if an additional relay channel is required, e.g. to activate an existing HVAC system via the presence of people, the new integrated relay channel can be used. The new KNX-RF flush mounted switching actuator SA1-230/16/H/RF-KNXs can be used to trigger additional switching actions by radio.

All the functions of the latest KNX generation

KNX-RF is a bidirectional radio system in which the devices within an RF line communicate with each other independently. With a B.E.G. TP/RF media coupler LK-RF/KNXs, the radio version (KNX-RF; Radio Frequency) is connected to the classic version via KNX BUS lines (KNX TP; Twisted Pair). Commissioning of the new RF devices is carried out with the ETS, as with the TP devices.

The new RF version includes all the functionalities of the PD2N-KNXs-DX-FC, a deluxe version (DX) of the latest KNX generation and a successful model from B.E.G. Brück Electronic GmbH. The high quality occupancy detector has a detection range of 10 metres in diameter. With two light sensors, it delivers excellent results even in difficult lighting situations. The sensitivity of the sensors can be individually adjusted. Not only the body's own infrared radiation of a moving person and existing light conditions are permanently detected. Temperature and acoustic sensors are also integrated so that the devices also react to room temperatures and noises. The extensive technology guarantees a wide range of possible applications. Like all new B.E.G. KNX-Deluxe devices, the PD2N-RF-KNXs-DX-FC also has integrated HCL control, which supports the well being of building users and enables a choice of three standard light curves for school, industrial or office applications. KNX Secure offers security against unwanted manipulation.
