B.E.G., as an expert in occupancy and motion detectors, offers a wide range of different detectors for special requirements. In addition to challenges such as high ceilings or long corridors, there are of course also rooms with simple detection technology that need to be equipped in an energy-efficient manner without a large automatic control system. B.E.G. has launched the BL2 and BL4 switching detectors for these rooms. The BL2-PLUS and BL4-PLUS are new additions to B.E.G.'s affordable BL series. This is a fully-fledged occupancy detector that is characterized by an attractive price with a slightly reduced range of functions. It has a channel for switching light. A push-button for manual override of the light switching can also be integrated.
The ceiling-mounted occupancy detectors for indoor use switch the light via one channel. They are only equipped with the basic functions: The detectors switch the light automatically depending on people present (movement) and the ambient brightness. The light is switched on if the ambient brightness is below a switch-on threshold that can be adjusted on the device and motion is detected. The light remains switched on as long as the device detects movement (regardless of the light value) plus the set follow-up time. Due to the reduced functionality, the BL detectors are available at an affordable price.
With their spring clips, they are quick and easy to install in suspended ceilings and cover a 360° detection area. The BL2 and BL2-PLUS detect movements in a range of up to 8 m, while the BL4 and BL4-PLUS are even suitable for areas up to 19 m in diameter. Accessories for surface and flush mounting are optionally available. Like all B.E.G. detectors, these can be put into operation directly with their factory settings. The BL4-PLUS can only be individually programmed using the IR-BL-PLUS remote control, which is available as an accessory.
