B.E.G. – an innovative company since 1975

Save energy and optimize operating costs with B.E.G. building automation solutions

Our B.E.G. occupancy detectors, motion detectors, sensors and actuators automatically control lighting, shading, room temperature and air quality. This increases comfort and safety for building users. It also increases the flexibility of room use. Building automation can reduce operating costs and save energy in new buildings and when modernizing existing buildings.

Our medium-sized electrical engineering company B.E.G. Brück Electronic GmbH, based in Lindlar, Germany, has been family-operated since 1975. With 15 foreign branches and a total of over 260 employees, we offer customer proximity worldwide. We are known for our wide range of products and accessories, flexible, customer-specific product development and application-relevant, specialized consulting for networked products.

Quality „Made in Germany“

We do everything we can to ensure that our customers are satisfied. That is why we at B.E.G. do not stand still in our development, but constantly improve our products and our service for you. Our products are the result of decades of experience in the manufacture of highly specialized technology products. High-quality materials and careful processing result in the durable quality products from B.E.G.

In order to guarantee the quality of our products at all times, we put them through their paces during production. Our headquarters in Lindlar has an endurance test facility, a climatic chamber, an EMC chamber and our own light laboratory. Our technical experts on the test bench only approve products that meet their strict requirements.

B.E.G. takes responsibility

We have optimized our product packaging to conserve resources. This protects the products during transportation, but is then no longer needed and is disposed of. Where we used to use plastic blister packs and polybags to protect products, we now use cardboard and paper. Today, most of our product packaging is made from renewable raw materials. Thanks to this change, B.E.G. Brück Electronic GmbH avoids 44 tons of plastic waste per year.

Information inserts have also been reduced to a minimum. As our products are usually sold in large quantities, product inserts such as operating instructions and other information are often thrown away straight away. For this reason, we now only include brief instructions with our products, as we are legally obliged to do. The detailed instructions and further information, such as our service points, can be found quickly on our website. A QR code in the quick guide takes customers directly to the appropriate detailed PDF operating instructions.

We are certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. This international environmental management standard stands for a continuous improvement process in the implementation of our environmental goals. We also focus on sustainability when it comes to our products: our high product quality leads to above-average product cycles.It goes without saying that we use high-quality raw materials and monitor the production processes and conditions at our production sites ourselves. When it comes to energy-efficient buildings, our company headquarters in Lindlar sets a good example: building automation is handled by energy-saving KNX and DALI products. We also use geothermal energy for heating and solar energy via the photovoltaic system on the roof of our central warehouse.

2021

Introduction of the semi-automatic storage system

The semi-automatic storage system, which was only introduced in 2020, moved into the B.E.G. hall and has been supporting the entire logistics process ever since. There are a total of 5,000 container storage spaces, stacked next to and on top of each other. These are automatically made available by the merchandise management system to the dispatch staff on an order-related basis for the compilation of the order.

Extension of the central warehouse

On the occasion of the company‘s anniversary, the central warehouse in Lindlar is extended by 2000 sqm to cope with the throughput of 2 million products per year.

2017

Extension of the research and development center

The former administrative headquarters of B.E.G. was converted into a research and development centre with its own lighting laboratory. Networked products (such as DALI, LON and KNX) have already been a focus of B.E.G. for a long time and the new development centre allows market demands to be met promptly and effectively.

2014

Construction of administration and training center

The new administration and training centre was built right next to the production and distribution centre. Of course, a modern KNX bus system with in-house B.E.G. products is used for the building, which enables operating costs to be reduced.

2007

Commissioning of sales and logistics center

On an area of almost 4 hectares, the first section of the site was used to put into operation today‘s European sales and logistics centre with attached production and development department. Just four years later, the logistics centre was expanded by several thousand m² to meet the increasing demand.

2000

Development of occupancy detectors with brightness sensors

Development of the first occupancy detectors with brightness sensors for daylight-dependent light control. With the rapid development of building automation and the associated increasing demand for intelligent control products, the range of daylight and presence-dependent occupancy detection has been continuously extended.

1999

First Subsidiary B.E.G. opens in France

The first B.E.G. branch was established in France. Since then, the number of branches has been steadily increased. Each branch and agency offers excellently trained staff to provide customers with the best possible support in all matters relating to building automation.

1986

Registration of the LUXOMAT® trademark

As one of the first companies in Germany, B.E.G. started with the production of motion detectors and automatic lights. The trademark LUXOMAT® was registered for this purpose. Since then, B.E.G. has produced several generations of motion detectors, which were primarily used outdoors at a building and were mainly used for security purposes.

Fire destroys company building

A fire destroyed the entire company building overnight, the administration and production had to be rebuilt.

1975

Groundbreaking for the product tange

The cornerstone of the comprehensive product range was the development and production of emergency luminaires. A little later, the production of group supplies for emergency lighting systems followed. Even today, B.E.G. still carries emergency lights in its product range, of course at the cutting edge of technology with energy-saving LED technology.
